Do you have a bucket list?

I’m pretty sure that we all have goals that we’d like to accomplish. It could be a short term goal, a long term goal, something that simply fulfills a desire. I have a bucket list in my head. These are things that I say that I’d like to do with no real specific time frame. For those of you who have them, do you give yourself a time frame in which to complete them or do you simply have them there and mark them off whenever? Check out a couple of mine and feel free to add yours!

-Learn Chinese, Japanese, Arabic (although a friend says Farsi is much better?), German and sign language * —I’m actually putting in a call to get the sign language part started immediately

-Complete my school program

-Finally earn a degree

-Go to Europe and go on at least 2 cruises before I’m 35.

-Learn to play the guitar

-Take some boxing (real life) courses

-Meet Beyonce, Mariska Hargitay and Rihanna

-Rock a short hairstyle at least once (even if it is a weave-y one lol)

-Dye my hair another color

-Live in another country for a year (but that’s IF I can get US programming b/c ch…I’d die if I missed all my shows for a whole damn year)

(to be continued)

DatGiDamnKira:

Hey Jia! One day last week I was thinking about ALL the things that I still want to accomplish in life. Although, I’m 24, I felt like I just wasn’t making LIFE the best it could be. So I decided I was going to make it more of an adventure and start doing the things I wanted to. So, I made a bucket list with both short term and long term things. Meeting you is one of my short term goals! Among others, write a book, create a tshirt line, travel abroad, try new foods, & to meet more QUALITY people! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Jia:

Welp let’s make that meet up happen!

T-Why:

Ms. Jia,
The cruise-thing is SO tenable! I take one every year like it’s a prescription. My first one was in college ['99] and I saw how affordable it was. I gots my whole family hooked. The BEST family reunions we’ve ever had. I describe it like this;
“A Vegas hotel that floats on water, and takes you to exotic locations…and [ALL!]the food is free.”
Even my ex-wife and I got married on one… so much cheaper than the traditional arrangement.
Summation: do some research, take a cruise THIS YEAR!! [the really inexpensive ones happen 'round thanksgiving] You’ll be introduced to the upper echelon of peace-of-mind.
Lemme know if you got questions…
Bon voyage,
Ty

Risha:

Awesome post Jia!
My bucket list:
-Take a trip by myself.
-Visit Paris, London, Italy
-Go to Africa
-Read more about African History
-Skydive or Bungee Jump (because I’m afraid of height’s )
- Enter a fitness competition (I’m so far from this)
-Give back to my community in a real way.
I’m sure there will be more…

Alicia:

-been to africa w/my ex. met alot of his family because he’s from there but i was like to sight see more.

-learned japanese

i dont have a list per se but one thing i can think of i want to go to disneyland. would love for my whole immediate family to go take a vacation together. Never truly relax and went on vacation together ever cause we couldn’t afford it growing up , now that i have kids i really want to experince that.

ChknQueen:

I love to travel, so I’d like to go to Italy.
I want my own barn/farm full of chickens.
I’d like to retire in the country.
I’d like to own a franchise in the KFC biz. [I'm not playing]

I’ve never been the type to want to meet celebs except Ludacris, but if I ever did, I’ll take a pic. My mom’s met Ice Cube, Yolanda Adams & Danny Glover. She’s lucky.

Speak your peace, Talk your shit
